The West Nassau Historical Society is proud to sponsor the 13th Annual Nassau Art at the Callahan Depot (NACD) art show and sale, January 23-25, 2025, a three-day visual feast prepared by local artists.  
  • The show is FREE and open to the public; come and vote your favorite artwork. 
  • Awards and gifts will be given to the top winners in three categories: painting, photography and 3D art. 
  • Deadline for artists entries is noon, Friday, January 17, 2025. 
  • Place: Inside the historic Callahan Train Depot at 45383 Dixie Avenue.
  • Thursday, January 23, 2025, 6:30 – 8:30 pm: Opening reception and meet and greet the artists.
  • Friday, January 24, 2025, 2 – 7 pm: Kids' award presentation with evening ice cream reception.
  • Saturday, January 25, 2025, 10 am -- 1:30 pm: Adult division award ceremony 1:30 pm.
  • ​The NACD Art Show portion showcases art from adult artists residing within Nassau County, plus students attending a Nassau County middle or senior high school. 
  • The historic 144-year-old railroad station and museum is the ideal venue for local artists to display their works, while giving the public a chance to view the treasure trove of historic photos and artifacts inside the depot museum.
  • The art sale portion is open during all three days of the NACD show and for visitors to purchase beautifully-created art from the participating artists. 
  • A nominal portion of all purchases go to the host Historical Society, the perfect opportunity for the public to support both our local artists and our history.
